An Indeciperable Map is the result of attempting to craft any type of map (local, city, sea chart, or world map) while your character is in an unsupported mapping location. These are purely decorative; they cannot be opened to show any map, and NPC Cartographers will not buy them.
In the past, this meant anywhere except Felucca or Trammel. Mapping support has now been added to Ilshenar, Malas, Tokuno, and Ter Mur, but Indecipherable Maps can still be created if your character is located in Eodon, or any dungeon within Felucca or Trammel.
Indeciperable Maps can be created in three different hues of grey.
