Chaos in the Council Chamber

Castle Blackthorn, Trammel, Chesapeake – The King’s council meeting this weekend began much like any other. The various governors of the realm took their seats while spectators watched the proceedings from the public gallery. The usual greetings were exchanged and the monarch got right down to business. The King congratulated everyone on the recent and successful Chesapeake Rarefest before moving on to other matters.

Unfortunately one of those matters was the recent assassination of “King” Ozog.

A brief investigation was recently launched to look in to who might be responsible for the murder and it would appear that various clues led back to Castle Blackthorn itself with the alleged murder weapon being found in one of the King’s private chambers.

And so when Soozie Squidglet was asked to present the findings she immediately opened with an accusation that the King was responsible. Naturally the King denied having any involvement but the little green imp was insistent and her accusatory chorus was soon joined by other goblins.

Growing angry the King soon had the goblins ejected from the council chamber – not once – but several times. After the whole affair was other the King also announced that the goblins were banished from the chamber for the foreseeable future – a decision which I believe was most wise and of great comfort to those of us who value their sanity.

Unfortunately for Governor Victor of Minoc who it seems have commissioned the original investigation, he was admonished by the King and ordered to put together a proper case to bring before the King. If this could not be done before the next Council Meeting, the whole matter would be dropped and the goblins would need to seek their justice elsewhere.
