For a short time in the fall of 2010, when you bought a physical copy of Stygian Abyss, you could buy a copy which included “30 days + starter kit”, vs the normal “30 days”. Upgrading a trial account did not qualify, and you had to buy the version which also included the starter kit. If you then, after having created the account, entered that matching starter kit code into the in-game code redemption system within 5 days of creating the account, you would receive one of these tokens. Using the token would then give you A Starter Kit. The Starter Kit Token was not consumed on using it. Additionally, for the first month, double-clicking on the token anywhere would grant you a +3 bonus to Hit Point Regeneration, Mana Regeneration and Stamina Regeneration, as well as accelerated skill gains, when you were not in New Haven. The effects would also extend to any party members, though they would only receive half the benefit. Note: This should not be confused with the Promotional Token for “Your Cozy Life Starter Kit”.
