The armor will provide the rider of the dragon with extra protection in combat, this is done by absorbing a percentage of all damage received. However this damage reduction only works against monsters, not against players. | The armor will provide the rider of the dragon with extra protection in combat, this is done by absorbing a percentage of all damage received. First seen in the attack on Yew, where Chaos Dragoons riding these Swamp Dragons invaded the town. Chaos Dragoons can make their mounts perform fire and stomp attacks. When the Chaos Dragoon is killed, the Swamp Dragon can be tamed. When tamed, the Swamp Dragon no longer performs the special attacks. Swamp Dragons die very fast at the hands of a warrior, but are extremely tough when being attacked by other monsters. They do very little damage in melee. This ridable creature comes in two different versions; armored and non-armored. Smiths can create a "Dragon Barding Deed" which can be used on an unarmored tame Swamp Dragon to turn it into an armored Swamp Dragon. The armor comes in all colored ingot colors.
The armor will provide the rider of the dragon with extra protection in combat, this is done by absorbing a percentage of all damage received. However this damage reduction only works against monsters, not against players.
To remove the armor from an armored Swamp Dragon you will have to use a bladed item like a dagger on it.
