Queen Dawn sat heavily at her desk. The notification given to her by Ambassador Zodok left her uneasy, as well as Lord Balandar's most recent...mishap. Balandar had assured her this project would not disrupt activities in the area, and already that assurance had been a let down. The appearance of the mysterious whirlpool at the Serpent's pillar has already claimed one of the Royal Navy's ships and left trade in the area at a standstill. Concern from townships with economic interests also sat heavily upon her, how long before the effects of this closure were dire on the lives of the citizens of Britannia?
There was a knock at the door.
"Highness?" a familiar voice said. Drake Foxx entered the Queen's chambers and handed her a rolled parchment. The waxen seal of the Royal Navy was still warm. Dawn quickly read the communique. She let it gently on her desk.
"How long?" Dawn questioned.
"Four days time. Reports suggest the assault will come Saturday evening" The words flowed off Foxx's tongue with a stoic assertion.
"Very well then. Send word to Jhelom. Begin preparations there at once. I want this aggression ended swiftly. The Northern Island was it? And get Balandar in here right away."
Commander Foxx nodded, "Right way Your Majesty."
