The Lich Lord is an abomination of nature. Not only is it the revived body of a powerful spellcaster, but it has also been strengthened with additional magics. The Lich Lord is much more powerful than the normal lich and since it is almost immune to magic damage mages should be very carful around them. Do not attempt to fight one unless you have a large, experienced group at hand or can summon forces to assist you. A few warriors with silver weapons will send the Lich Lord back to the grave in no time though.. Lich Lords will occasionally summon a group of skeletons to their aid and then, to confuse the enemy, polymorph into a skeleton themselves. The skeleton will still be named as a lich lord though.
