May 29 2003 6:18PM CST
Publish 18 heralded in six new wearable clothing items, each one created by an Ultima Online player!
Last fall, a special costume design contest was held in our Japanese region, commemorating UO’s 5th Anniversary. Over 100 entries were submitted, and six of them were chosen by the UO Dev team as winners. The winning entries were adapted to the UO world and turned into actual in-game wearables!
Here are the details on these new items:
- The six new wearables are:
- Flower garland: This lovely “crown of flowers” was designed by Kamome. (2D placeholder: a normal headband)
- Fur boots: Keep your legs warm with this design by Akira Hisamoto. (2D placeholder: short boots)
- Fur cape: This “mantle of the wolf” was designed by pepe. (2D placeholder: a normal cloak)
- Fur Sarong: This design by Akira Hisamoto completes any the primitive ensemble. (2D placeholder: normal kilt)
- Gilded dress: This design by TightNabe is the perfect addition to every noble’s wardrobe. (2D placeholder: a normal fancy dress)
- Formal shirt: This design by TightNabe completes any formal outfit. (2D placeholder: a normal fancy shirt)
- Each of the six items will be craftable with the tailoring skill via the tailoring menu. The new art for these wearables will only be available for the 3D client, and 2D client users will see “placeholder” artwork.
- All clothing items are created with regular cloth, and may be dyed with a normal clothing dye tub.
- NPC Cobblers will purchase the new fur boots, and NPC weavers and tailors will purchase the other new items, but NPCs will not sell them as well.
