Dawn cracked the waxen seal of the rolled parchment and began to delicately unravel it. She read the words silently to herself,
Your Majesty,

Yours in Service,
Derrick Mornwok of Vesper
She set the parchment beside her and examined the jewels that had come with the post. Dawn had never been an admirer of such garish adornment and so she sent them to Tavalia's office, knowing she enjoyed indulging material wealth. Dawn turned her focus to Commander Foxx, still standing at attention.

Surely Mornwok commanded a healthy bit of wealth, but to beckon the Royal Guard as if they were his errand boys? It did not sit well with him.
"Will there be anything else Majesty?" Drake stood at attention. "Yes Commander, there is one pressing matter yet left unresolved..." Drake Foxx could feel his tongue go dry and a growing lump in his throat, Dawn continued, "The whereabouts of Scarlet Von Trinsic..."
