A Night At The Races

With the threat of the Orc raids put to rest, and the peaceful resolution of the White Wrym’s plan to seize the lands of Glacia, the horse races in your town of Britain have begun again.
Held every Wednesday evening at 9 PST, the races are free to all comers, and boast a large weekly purse of gold.
This week was week number eight of the thirty-six week season, and despite some foul weather miring many of the competitors, two full heats were ran to great success.
Heat #1 was won by Shandra, while heat #2 was won by Elise Antero. Shandra entered the final as the odds-on favorite, and easily took the first of three races. But in a stunning upset, Elise placed first in the final two races, marking her as the winner of race #8.
Elise graciously rolled over her winnings, bringing next week’s purse to an amazing twenty thousand gold coin!

The next race will be held on Wednesday, June 21st, at 9pst, at the Britain race tracks. To find the tracks, proceed west from the Cat’s Lair Tavern, past the Warrior’s Guild, into the farms. The fenced off field off this path is the site of the race. I am present there to answer your questions about the rules.
