2002: Boroni`s Challenge

Greetings fellow Britannians,
Many years ago Britannia Zoo was a sight to behold indeed! Creatures large and small from throughout the realm were on display, kept lovingly in the environment to which they were accustomed. As I am sure many of you are aware, since those glorious days the zoo has fallen into a state of utter dilapidation, and all the animals have long since departed. Where there was once the orchestra of a thousand animals, there is silence. I hope you all agree this is a tragedy in it’s own right, thus I have decided it’s time for action!
I call upon all animal-tamers of Britannia! You who walk with beasts, you who call upon the creatures of the land, this is your chance to make a difference!
I hereby decree that there shall be a mighty tournament! On the evening of the challenge, I will put forth a series of riddles. Each tangle of words shall lead to a single answer, the answer being one of the creatures that inhabits our fine realm. The first animal-tamer to go forth and bring me such a creature will have the honour of it being put on display in the zoo for all to see! But this is not all… for the animal shall also be named after it’s master!
I look forward to seeing all those who feel they can rise to this challenge!
