かつてミナックスの軍隊の将軍を務めていたキーワナン（Keeonean）はブリタニアへの反逆罪で裁きを受けている最中に殺害された。
キーワナン将軍は先日、ロイヤルガードによるミナックス追討作戦がトリンシック近郊にある隠れ谷で行われた際に捕らえられた。ロイヤルガードの指揮官であるエレイン・ベイフェリー（Elaine Bayfery）と彼女の作戦に参加した冒険者たちの部隊が、強力な魔法使いの助力を得ることで彼を裁きの場に引きずり出すことに成功したのである。彼はユー刑務所で裁きの日を待つこととなった。
急務についている国王に代わり、エレインが訴訟手続きを進め裁判を開く事となった。開廷に際し多くの傍聴者の中から7人の名誉あるブリタニア国民が陪審員として選出され、遂に正義の街であるユーの裁判所にて裁判が行われる事となった。
キーワナンは、ブリタニアとその王家に対する大小いくつもの反逆罪、反乱軍を煽って法権力に立ち向かわせるという違法な行為、そして我等が君主ロード･ブリティッシュ（Lord British）の誘拐を企てたかどで有罪となるはずであった。
その審議の途中、キーワナンを見張っていた牢番が叫び声と共に倒れたかと思うと、そこに闇の女王として知られるミナックス（Minax）が姿を現した。ミナックスは体が透け幻影のような姿であったが、そのような状態でも強力な魔法を使うことができた。キーワナンはミナックスが彼を救いに来たのだと思い助けを求めたが、その場に居合わせた者がみな止める暇もなく彼女は凄まじい雷を彼に何度も撃ちつけ、その激しい力で彼を殺害してしまった。
エセリアルの形態をしたミナックスは湧き起こる騒ぎの中で姿をくらまし、いまだにその行方は知れないようだ。そして当のキーワナンは文字通り跡形もなく消し飛んでしまった。こうして被告のいないまま閉廷することとなった。
エレイン指揮官はソーサリアの民に対して、もしも彼女の姿を見かけても、ロイヤルガードの部隊と一緒でない限り彼女には接触しないようにと強く申し述べている。
