He stared deep into the beasts eyes. He ordered his tillerman to furl the sails. He knew it would be quick and like any good Captain he was going down with the ship. The beast was nearly ten fathoms long and as wide as a ship. The pearl white skin made a startling silhouette as it cruised nearly twenty knots just below the sea surface. The attack was quick. The stillness of the night was broken by the cracking of timbers and tearing of sails. His eyes closed slowly as he watched the moon through the surface of the water...deeper and deeper....
