2001-03-22: Tournament Of Darts
On Friday, March 23rd, the Great Horns Tavern is pleased to offer the people of Britannia the chance to prove exactly who the greatest dart player in the realm is. The notable Lord James Greymason II will be hosting the event at the tavern. He will be taking contestant’s names as of 7:30 pm PST, and the contest itself will commence at the stroke of eight o’clock.
The contest will take the form of a traditional play-off tree. The number of contestants will be limited for thirty-two (in consideration to time limits, etc.) Lord Greymason will sign contestants up as they approach him, so it’s first come, first serve. Each round, half of the contestants will be eliminated, until the final two will battle it out in a best two out of three round game.
There will be no entry fee for the contestants, but there will be prizes for the winner, and the other three semi-finalists! Prizes are as follows.
- 1st Place: 10,000 in gold pieces, and a suit of exceptional valorite platemail
- 2nd Place: 7,000 in gold pieces, and a suit of exceptional verite chain and platemail
- 3rd Place: 5,000 in gold pieces, and a suit of exceptional studded leather armour
- 4th Place: 3,000 in gold pieces, and a suit of exceptional leather armour
