The Ant Lion is a giant insect creature which is one of the results of the failed Decay spell cast by the Meer. It can be found in the Solen Hive along with some of the other creatures changed by the spell. The Ant Lion has the ability to 'tunnel' under the ground and burst up underneath its attackers, thereby doing a substantial amount of damage. Running out of range when it starts tunneling will cause it to reappear without doing any damage. In addition to the tunneling ability it also spits a powerful poison at ranged attackers. There is a chance that you might find the skeletal remains of an unknown adventurer in the corpse of Ant Lions. In this skeleton you can find a few items related to the profession of the adventurer (Bard, Rogue, Mage etc.)
