Proc

'Proc' is a common gaming abbreviation which stands for "Programmed Random OCcurance". Essentially, for anything that has a chance to happen, such as when an item with Hit Lower Defense % does actually lower the opponent's defense, then Hit Lower Defense is said to have proced.
