This is a [[UO:Slayer|super slayer]] [[UO:Item Properties|item property]].  Its opposing slayer is the [[UO:Reptile Slayer|Reptilian slayer]] type.


The current "Arachnid Slayer" property was originally called "Arachnid Doom."  It was one of the first six types of slayers added to the game.  Items with this property originally only spawned on Dragons, Terathans, and [[UO:Juka Lord|Juka Lords]].  Today they can drop from any mob.

These mobs will take double damage while you have the Arachnid slayer equipped.  If the slayer property is on a talisman, it will ''not'' have an effect on the damage caused by spells.  For bards, success chance is increased by 20% when an Arachnid slayer instrument is used.
