Armor Of Initiation
This suit exists in both human and gargoyle versions. A full set of this suit was given in Starter Kit boxes given by a New Player Starter Kit Token. The type of suit given depended upon whether the character was a gargoyle or human.
This token was given to new accounts in the summer of 2010. Although it was officially announced, it was only announced in the west in a newsletter which was sent via email via the POGO service. (For Japanese players, it was announced on the Japanese UO site.) Most players at the time complained that they never actually received that newsletter. New accounts over 30 days old did not qualify for the token, nor did accounts which were upgraded using a Stygian Abyss upgrade code. Only new accounts created on a new, non-upgrade copy of Stygian Abyss were given a token, and only if that account had not first used a 14-day trial period.
It is not clear when new accounts stopped receiving these tokens, but it was some time after the spring of 2013 and before the summer of 2014.
Thus, as few knew about it, and the new player token was not added until 10 months after the launch of the Stygian Abyss expansion, and due to the limitations on what type of account would even qualify for the token, even though these were available for roughly four years, only a relative few tokens actually were even given out, and thus the items received from the tokens are still quite valuable.
