This strange variety of plant, known as the Quagmire, has been somehow crossbred with daemonic power. Their spores are deadly poison. Found in the swamps that have overtaken the Britannian city of Yew, the Quagmire lays in wait for any adventurer that would encounter them. These powerful, though mindless, creatures will also poison their victims. As plants they are possessed of the weaknesses of other plants, but its massive stems are somewhat resistant to magic. Approach the Quagmire with caution; once engaged, it is not always easily dispatched. Description from the UO.com Bestiary
