Skill Masteries
Skill masteries are special abilities allowed to those who've trained in a skill to at least 90.0. Those skill points must come from 'real' skill points; any points from equipped items do not count.

Skill masteries are accessed via a Book of Masteries or Book of Bardic Masteries; thought the names of the books are different, either will work for all skills. Only a single skill's set of mastery abilities can be active at any one time. To switch the active skill, left click on the masteries book and select 'Switch Mastery'.
Each skill has three tiers of Mastery Primer. Mastery primers are dropped by all champion spawns, as well as Charybdis and Scalis. You do not need to read all three tiers for a given skill; a level 2 mastery primer also grants level 1, and a level 3 mastery primer also grants both levels 1 and 2. Your tier level in a skill mastery controls the intensity of the effects for mastery abilities.
For each skill's skill mastery, there are passive abilities and active abilities. Passive abilities are active the entire time that that skill is selected as the active mastery, while active abilities must be activated to take effect.
Each skill mastery also allows the selection of an associated title. This can be accessed by left clicking on your player, then selecting "Open Titles Menu" from the menu.
