Patch Notes from 2004-10-14

Due to some final polishing efforts, we are now planning to release a client patch tomorrow, October 14th, at approximately 8:00AM PST (3:00PM GMT), which will include support for the launch of Ultima Online: Samurai Empire as well as the following.

3D Client:

  • Third Dawn and Lord Blackthorn's Revenge art assets brought into sync with Age of Shadows

Both Clients:

  • Localization updates

Known issues:

  • The new "Guild" button on the paperdoll will remain inactive until UOSE launches.
  • You should not attempt to commit any house designs using the UOSE house tiles until UOSE launches because you may lose gold by doing so.
  • If you participated in the Beta, please do not attempt to use the Beta client. Doing so will result in bad username\password errors. Please uninstall the Beta client as the beta is now over.
  • EquipLastWeapon macro is inactive until UOSE launches.

Patch Sizes

  • T2A : ~84MB
  • UOTD : ~48MB
  • LBR 2D : ~49MB
  • LBR 3D : ~43MB
  • AoS 2D : ~48MB
  • AoS 3D : ~26MB

If patched correctly, your current version will display 4.0.5a for both clients. If you have any difficulty receiving this patch, please check the following:

Check the "Patch" directory within your Ultima Online directory (the default location is C:\Program Files\Ultima Online\Patch). This directory should be empty. Any files in this directory should be deleted. If you are unable to connect to the patch server at all, and are using an original (Non-T2A) version of Ultima Online, you may need to update your verinfo file. For details on updating this file, please see the information posted at http://support.uo.com/tech_6.html.

Run a virus scan on your computer. Undetected viruses may cause conflicts with patching Ultima Online. For information on up-to-date virus detection software, please visit http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/vso/default.asp.

If after trying the above, you are still experiencing difficulty patching the Ultima Online client, please visit this web page.
