Anordkor Tereg

Anordkor Tereg ("land of chaos and death") is the most dangerous area of overland Ilshenar. Once this region was beautiful, the planned future of the Gargoyles of Ilshenar. Fourty years of construction under the leadership of Ilshen had produced Montor, the city of "mountain beauty". However, only twenty years after it was completed, a massive volcano formed under the city, destroying it and the entire region.


The ruins of Montor can still be found in the northern area of this region, with a volcanic vent, known as "The Abyss", remaining active in the far north-east above the city. The Termir Flam ("lake of fire") is at the center of this region, filling the caldera left when the the volcano exploded. The Pormir Priin ("river of unification") leads off southward, around the island of the ancient citadel and on toward the Lenmir Anfinmotas. On the south side of this region, pyroclastic plateaus create a dangerous maze. Volcanic sands have washed down through these plateaus such that they now cover the lower half of them; two groups of gypsies have made permanent camps in these sands.


The Glacier is across the bridge to the west of the Ancient Citadel. The Pass of Karnaugh is hidden away in the mountains up a narrow path leading westward out of Montor.
