The Town Cryer and Britannia News Network

The Town Cryer was a newspaper of in-game events published by the Interest Program team. It reported most of the events by that team, though many Seer events went unreported by the Town Cryer.

The February 17, 2000 report titled "Rude Awakening in Trinsic" was the first time "BNN" appeared in the byline of a Town Cryer report. The March 9, 2000 report titled "Julia's Message to Dupre" was then the last report published by the "Town Cryer". After that, the name of the newspaper was changed to the Britannia News Network (BNN).

The use of the "Britannia News Network" to describe official fiction seems to have ended in 2012. All official fiction posted since 2013 has simply been described as 'Fiction'.
